Our trainings will continue after christmas break from 8th of January every Tuesday and Thursday on 8 pm to 9.30 pm at the archery range next to the Santasport sport center.
About rugby
Rugby is the second most popular team sport in the world and it's played everywhere around the globe. Rugby World Cup is the third biggest sport event in the world. Finland also has a national rugby federation which organizes Finnish championships and a Finnish Cup every year. Rugby is suited for everyone regardless of their age or sex. There is a playing position for every physique and size. Playing rugby is cheap, you only need a pair of sneakers, a durable t-shirt and shorts to start.

Paying the membership fee
Pay the club membership fee of 20€ to clubs bank account 113430-637356 and put "Membership fee 2008" into the info
field. Clubs policy is that new players can participate on trainings two times for free and if you still want to play after that you must pay the membership fee.
It's also possible to join Rovaniemi Rugby Club with a support membership. This is an ideal choice for those who don't want to take part on the activities but who still want to help in developing rugby in Rovaniemi. With a support membership, you're not allowed to vote in club meetings but you can, and we also strongly encourage you, to take part in different club activities. Joining is easy, just pay the membership fee of 10€ to club's bank account at 113430-637356 and write "Support membership 2008" on the info field.

The Annual General Meeting of Rovaniemi Rugby Club is held 24.11.2007 at Domus Arctica -foundation's sauna. The adress is Ratakatu 8 and the meeting starts at 16.00 (4 pm). You can download the agenda here (55 kb, in Finnish only).

In Finnish Rugby Federation's general meeting held at Tampere on 3.11.2007 it was confirmed that Rovaniemi Rugby Club will participate on Finnish Championships during the season 2008. Roirugby will take part in Northern Conference together with OYUS Rugby from Oulu, JRC from Jyväskylä and Vaasa Wolves Rugby Club.

Rovaniemi Rugby Club is participating in Baltic Plate 2007 tournament on Helsinki at 29th of September with a full team. Getting valuable in-game experience is our first priority on the tournament but of course we also try to win.

English counterpart. We have also added new links to links -section. In the future, we will be adding information about
